Description: Frank Denis has reported a vulnerability in mnoGoSearch, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "UdmDocToTextBuf()" function when concatenating and returning an indexed document to a client. This can be exploited by making sure that a vulnerable system indexes a specially crafted document.
The vulnerability has been reported in versions 3.2.15, 3.2.14, and 3.2.13. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: No fixes are currently available.
The vulnerability can reportedly be mitigated by making sure that the maximum size of every section in "indexer.conf" is no greater than 10K.
Use another product.
