Description: Luigi Auriemma has reported a vulnerability in Chat Anywhere, which can be exploited by malicious users to circumvent certain administrative user management features.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error within the handling of nicknames. This can be exploited by including a NULL byte ("%00") before a nickname, which hides the user's IP address and therefore makes it impossible for an administrator to kick or ban the user.
The vulnerability reportedly affects version 2.72 and prior.
