Description:
Qualys has discovered a vulnerability in Microsoft Media Services, allowing malicious people to cause a Denial of Service against the Media Services.

The problem is that Windows Media Station Service, Windows Media Monitor Service, and Windows Media Services fails to handle a malicious crafted sequence of TCP packets sent to the services. This causes the services to stop responding.

This affects Windows Media Services 4.1 which is included with Microsoft Windows 2000 Server.
