Description:
Ard van Breemen has reported a vulnerability in nfs-utils, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of client hostnames when mounting directories. This can be exploited to crash rpc.mountd if a client's DNS hostname doesn't match the reverse lookup.

The vulnerability affects versions after 1.0.3 and prior to 1.0.6.
