Description: JeiAr has reported some vulnerabilities in vBulletin, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to insufficient validation of user input passed to certain parameters in various scripts. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable website.
The following scripts and parameters are affected:
1) The "page" parameter in "showthread.php".
2) The "order" parameter in "forumdisplay.php".
3) The "forward" parameter in "private.php".
4) The "what" parameter in "memberlist.php".
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 3.0.0 RC4 and prior. However, the vulnerabilities in "private.php" and "memberlist.php" reportedly only affect versions prior to 3.0.
Solution: Update to version 3.0.3.
