Description

Janek Vind has reported some vulnerabilities in Error Manager for PHP-Nuke, allowing malicious people to see the installation path and conduct Cross Site Scripting and script insertion attacks.

1) Input to the parameters "newlang", "lang", and "language" in "error.php" isn't properly verified before it is used to include a file. This can be exploited to manipulate the filename, inject HTML or script code, and see the installation path if "error.php" is accessed directly.

2) Input to the parameter "pagetitle" in "error.php" isn't properly verified if it is injected through a cookie or a POST request. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code.

3) Input to the "error" parameter in "error.php" isn't properly verified before it is returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML or script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site by accessing "error.php" directly.

4) The parameters logged by Error Manager to the error log isn't verified before it is returned to the administrative user. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML, script code which will be executed by the administrative user.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 2.1.
