Description:
Gentoo has issued an update for Portage. This fixes a vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The problem is that "/tmp/sandboxpids.tmp" is handled by Portage in an insecure manner and can be manipulated by local users. According to Gentoo, this can be exploited to cause a Denial of Service.
