Description:
A security issue has been discovered in WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain knowledge of sensitive information.

The problem arises if a JDBC connection pool isn't targeted at a server and has a username and password specified. This causes WebLogic to store the credentials in clear text in the "config.xml" file.

Solution:
An update is available.

WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express version 8.1 Service Pack 2:

Upgrade to Service Pack 5.
