Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in AIX, allowing malicious, local users to perform certain actions on a vulnerable system with escalated privileges.

The problem is that certain console commands create some unspecified files insecurely, which can be exploited via symlink attacks to create and overwrite arbitrary files.

The vulnerabilities affect AIX 5.1 and 5.2.
