Description:
Steve Grubb has reported a vulnerability in libpng, potentially allowing malicious people to cause a Denial of Service against applications and services using libpng.

The problem is that libpng accesses out of bounds memory when creating error messages. This can be exploited to crash certain applications via malformed png image files.
