Description: Ulf Harnhammar has reported some vulnerabilities in LHA, potentially allowing malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
1-2) Two vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors, which can be triggered by malicious archives. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow if a user extracts or tests an archive.
3-4) Two vulnerabilities are caused due to improper handling of filenames and directory names. This can be exploited to conduct directory traversals and place files outside the current directory.
Successful exploitation may potentially allow execution of arbitrary code on a user's system but requires that the user is tricked into opening a malicious archive.
