Description:
Akira Yoshiyama has discovered a vulnerability in ipmenu, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to perform certain actions on a system with escalated privileges.
The temporary file "ipmenu.log" is created insecurely in the "/tmp" folder. This can potentially be exploited via symlink attacks to overwrite and create arbitrary files with "root" privileges.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.0.3. Other versions may also be affected.
