Description:
Martin O'Neal of Corsaire has discovered a security issue in Verity Ultraseek, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose path information.

The problem is that requests containing reserved DOS device names (e.g. "com1") are handled incorrectly by the web service, which causes the application to return an error response disclosing the absolute path of the document root.

The issue affects version 5.2.1 and prior.
