Description:
Stefan Esser has reported a vulnerability in CVS, allowing malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the handling of modified or unchanged flag insertion into CVS entry lines, which can be exploited to cause a heap overflow.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability has been reported in the following versions:
* Feature version 1.12.7 and prior.
* Stable version 1.11.15 and prior.
