Description

A vulnerability has been discovered in various Microsoft products, allowing malicious people to disclose the content of arbitrary files or delete these.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error when handling HTTP requests, which can be exploited via directory traversal attacks.

Successful exploitation allows retrieving or deleting arbitrary files on a vulnerable system via the Crystal Reports and the Crystal Enterprise Web viewers.

The vulnerability affects the following products:
* Visual Studio .NET 2003
* Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager (BCM)
* Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2

NOTE: Systems are only vulnerable if they have Internet Information Services (IIS) installed.
