Description: A vulnerability has been reported in BEA WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the handling of SSL connections. This can be exploited via certain user actions to cause the server to not close connections and eventually run out of sockets.
Successful exploitation crashes the server or causes it to stop responding to requests.
The vulnerability was fixed in Service Pack 3, but was reintroduced in Service Pack 4 due to a third party software upgrade.
