Description:
A vulnerability has been discovered in Cisco IOS, allowing malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error within the processing of BGP packets and can be exploited to reload a vulnerable network device via a specially crafted BGP packet.

Successful exploitation requires that the device has been configured for BGP routing (not default setting), and the malicious packet's source must seem to be a configured, trusted peer.
