Description: watercloud has reported a vulnerability in HP-UX, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the xfs utility. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by passing an overly long argument to the "-port" command line option.
Successful exploitation may reportedly grant "bin" group privileges.
The vulnerability affects versions B.11.23, B.11.22, B.11.11, and B.11.00.
