Description:
DarkBicho has reported some vulnerabilities in PowerPortal, potentially allowing malicious people to reveal sensitive information and conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

1) Path information can be disclosed in error pages by passing invalid input or accessing scripts directly.

Examples:
modules/gallery/resize.php
modules.php?name=gallery&files=[value]

2) Input passed to various parameters in certain modules isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.

Examples:
modules.php?name=private_messages&file=reply&id='[code]
modules.php?name=links&search=[code]&func=search_results
modules.php?name=content&file=search&search=[code]&func=results
modules.php?name=gallery&files=[code]

3) Input passed to the "files" parameter in "gallery" module isn't validated, which can be exploited to read the content of arbitrary files and folders via directory traversal attacks.

Example:
modules.php?name=gallery&files=/../../../

This has been reported to affect PowerPortal 1.x.
