Description

infamous41 has reported some vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerabilities are caused due to integer overflows within the "copyin()" and "copyin_string()" functions of the Sbus PROM driver.

Successful exploitation may potentially allow code execution with escalated privileges.


Solution
Update to version 2.4.36 or later.
