Description:
Dr_insane has reported a vulnerability in Easy Chat Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to read arbitrary files on a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error, making it possible to access arbitrary files outside the web root by supplying the classic directory traversal character sequence in the URL.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.2. Other versions may also be affected.
