Description: A vulnerability has been discovered in NetScreen ScreenOS, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error within the anti-virus scan engine when processing archived files. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session via a zip archive containing an infected file with a specially crafted name.
Successful exploitation requires that a user is tricked into downloading a malicious zip archive.
According to the vendor, the vulnerability only affects NetScreen 5GT Firewalls with AV running versions 5.0.0r1 through 5.0.0r7.
