Description:
HEXVIEW has reported a vulnerability in Netegrity IdentityMinder, allowing malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the web interface, if the URL included a null-byte "%00". This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session via a maliciously created link.

A similar vulnerability exists in certain administrative functions, however, this does not require the URL to be poisoned with a null-byte.

This has been reported in Netegrity IdentityMinder Web Edition 5.6 SP2. Other products and versions may also be affected.
