Description:
phpBB Group has released a new version of phpBB, which fixes some previously reported vulnerabilities and a Cross Site Scripting vulnerability.

1) Input passed to specific parameters in various scripts isn't properly sanitised before being returned to users. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable website by tricking the user into visiting a malicious website or follow a specially crafted link.

Examples:
index.php?category_rows[0][cat_id]=1&category_rows[0][cat_title]=x[malicious code]x&category_rows[0][cat_order]=99
faq.php?faq[0][0]=x[malicious code]x&faq[0][1]=x
faq.php?mode=bbcode&faq[0][0]=x[malicious code]x&faq[0][1]=x

2) The installation path is returned in a error message when invalid input is supplied.

Examples:
index.php?category_rows=[value]
faq.php?faq=[value]
faq.php?mode=bbcode&faq=[value]
profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2&ranksrow=[value]

3) Two unspecified vulnerabilities has also been reported.

Reportedly, the following known vulnerabilities have been fixed:
SA11189
SA11434
