SCO has confirmed an old vulnerability in OpenServer, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability lies in the utility "uudecode", which does not verify if it is writing to a file, a symlink, or an open pipe. This can be abused if a local user decodes files into a shared directory like "/tmp".
