Description:
Marc Schoenefeld has discovered a vulnerability in Sun Java JRE/SDK, allowing an untrusted applet to gain escalated privileges on a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the XSLT processor. This allows applets to read data from other applets being processed or gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability affects the following versions on Windows, Solaris, and Linux platforms:
* SDK and JRE 1.4.2_04 or earlier
* SDK and JRE 1.4.1_07 or earlier
* SDK and JRE 1.4.0_04 or earlier
