Description: CoolICE has reported a vulnerability in MailEnable Professional, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within HTTPMail ("MEHTTPS.EXE") and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by passing an overly long string (about 64 bytes) in the "Content-Length:" header field.
Successful exploitation crashes the service but may potentially also allow arbitrary code execution.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.19. Other versions may also be affected.
