Description:
Ziv Kamir has reported a vulnerability in Shuttle FTP Suite, which can be exploited by malicious people to read or place files in arbitrary locations on a vulnerable system.

The problem is that arguments passed to certain commands aren't properly verified. This can be exploited to access and write files outside the FTP root using the classical directory traversal character sequence "../" or absolute paths.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 3.2. Other versions may also be affected.
