Description

Martin O'Neal of Corsaire has reported a vulnerability in MAILsweeper for SMTP, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass the attachment blocking functionality.

The vulnerability is caused due to the application not being able to analyse various attachment types when encoded or compressed using various common compression formats. This may result in attachments not being blocked as specified in filters.


Solution
Apply hotfix 4.3.15.
