|
|
Description: Joxean Koret has reported two vulnerabilities in Mantis, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and script insertion attacks.
1) User input passed to the "return" parameter in "login_page.php" isn't sanitised sufficiently before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML or script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site by tricking the user into visiting a malicious website or follow a specially crafted link.
2) Input passed to the "email" parameter in "signup.php" isn't sanitised before being stored in the user profile. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary script code in an administrator's browser session when the administrator clicks on the "Manage" task.
The vulnerabilities reportedly affect version 0.18.3 and prior.
Solution: The vulnerabilities have reportedly been fixed in the CVS repository.
