Description: Max Vozeler has reported a vulnerability in cdrecord, which potentially can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to cdrecord not dropping privileges before executing a program specified by the user via the "RSH" environment variable.
This only affects Mandrake Linux and other distributions where cdrecord is installed setuid root.
