Description: Luigi Auriemma has reported a vulnerability in ChatMan, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error and can be exploited via a specially crafted packet containing an overly large value in the data size field.
Successful exploitation causes the application to crash. It is also possible to crash ChatMan processes on all hosts by issuing a "new user" broadcast packet, which causes the hosts to connect to the malicious system.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.5.1 and prior.
