Description:
R00tCr4ck has reported two vulnerabilities in Silent Storm Portal, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and bypass certain security restrictions.

1) Input passed to the "module" parameter in "index.php" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.

2) An input validation error in "profile.php" and "Home.php" can be exploited to insert extra database fields.

This can further be exploited to e.g. create an administrator account.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.1 and 2.2. Other versions may also be affected.
