Description

Some vulnerabilities have been reported in DCP-Portal, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks, and compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Some input isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Examples:
/calendar.php?year=[code]&month=09&day=01
/calendar.php?year=2004&month=[code]&day=01
/calendar.php?year=2004&month=09&day=[code]
/calendar.php?show=full_month&s=1&submit=GO&day=[code]
/index.php?page=annoucements&cid=[code]
/annoucement.php?aid=8&cid=[code]
/news.php?nid=34&cid=[code]
/contents.php?cid=[code]
/index.php?cid=[code]
/index.php?page=documents&dl=xyz&its_url=[code]
/index.php?page=send_write&url=[code]
/calendar.php?subject_color=[code]
/calendar.php?images=[code]
/forums.php?action=board&bid=[code]
/forums.php?action=addtopic&bid=1&replying_msg=[code]
/forums.php?action=addtopic&bid=1&mid=[code]
/lostpassword.php?subject_color=[code]
/lostpassword.php?email=[code]
/mycontents.php?action=content&c_name=[code]
/mycontents.php?action=content&content_inicial=[code]
/mycontents.php?action=content&c_name=[code]
/mycontents.php?action=addnews&c_name={code]
/mycontents.php?action=addnews&content_inicial=[code]
/mycontents.php?action=addnews&mode=write&dcp_editor_contingut_html=xyz&c_name=[code]
/mycontents.php?action=addanns&c_name=[code]
/mycontents.php?action=updatecontent&cid=[code]
/mycontents.php?action=updatecontent&cid=1&mode=write&c_image_name=xyz&c_name=[code]
/admin/inc/footer.inc.php?root_url=[code]
/admin/inc/footer.inc.php?dcp_version=[code]
/admin/inc/header.inc.php?root_url=[code]
/admin/inc/header.inc.php?page_top_name=[code]
/admin/inc/header.inc.php?page_name=[code]
/admin/inc/header.inc.php?page_options=[code]

2) Input passed to various parameters in several PHP scripts via HTTP POST requests is not sanitised before being returned. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The following PHP scripts and parameters are affected:
* The "url" parameter in "index.php".
* The "q" and "field" parameters in "search.php".
* The "country" parameter in "register.php".
* The "month" and "day" parameters in "calendar.php".
* The "bid" and "subject" parameters in "forums.php".
* The "subject" and "message" parameters in "inbox.php".

3) Input passed in "PHPSESSID" is not properly sanitised, which can be exploited to add fake headers and thereby potentially poison intermediate web caches with arbitrary content.

4) Some input isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Example:
http://[victim]/index.php?page=links&catid=1&lcat=[code]
http://[victim]/index.php?page=documents&doc=[code]
http://[victim]/index.php?page=mdetails&uid=[code]
http://[victim]/forums.php?action=showmsg&mid=[code]
http://[victim]/forums.php?action=board&bid=[code]
http://[victim]/index.php?cid=[code]
* The "name" parameter in "register.php".
* The "email" parameter in "lostpassword.php".
* The "year" parameter in "calendar.php".
* The "q" parameter in "search.php".
* The "username" parameter in "login.php".

Some other parameters have also been reported as not being properly sanitised.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

5) Input passed to the "root" parameter in library/lib.php and library/editor/editor.php isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 6.1.1. Other versions may also be affected.

Some of these vulnerabilities have been reported before in:
