Description

Three vulnerabilities have been reported in 3Com OfficeConnect ADSL Wireless 11g Firewall Router, which can be exploited to conduct script insertion attacks, cause a Dos (Denial of Service), or gain knowledge of sensitive information.

1) The administrators IP address is displayed when connecting to the administrative web interface, while the administrator is logged in. Since a IP-based authentication scheme is used, this information can be exploited to access various pages to perform certain administrative functions or gain knowledge of sensitive system information.

2) An input validation error in the DHCP service can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code into the administrative web interface via specially crafted DHCP REQUEST datagrams.

Successful exploitation executes the code in an administrative user's browser session when the malicious DHCP information is viewed in a report / log.

3) An unspecified boundary error can be exploited to reboot a vulnerable device.

Solution
Update to firmware version 1.27.
