Description:
Jelmer has discovered a vulnerability in Cabinet Tool, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error when extracting files with "Cabarc.exe". This makes it possible to have files extracted to arbitrary locations outside the specified directory using the "../" directory traversal sequence.

The vulnerability has been confirmed on version 1.00.0601 of "Cabarc.exe", which is included with the Microsoft Cabinet Software Development Kit.
