Description

Joxean Koret has reported two vulnerabilities in OpenWFE, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and use a vulnerable system for port scanning other hosts.

1) Input passed to the web client's "url" parameter in "login.action" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.

2) The web client accepts arbitrary hosts in the "worklist URL". This can e.g. be exploited to conduct port scanning of arbitrary hosts by examining the error output.

Solution
The vulnerabilities have reportedly been fixed in version 1.4.6 in the CVS repository.
