Description: Roman Medina-Heigl Hernandez has reported a vulnerability in TWiki, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in "Search.pm" when handling search requests and allows injection of arbitrary shell commands. This can be exploited by supplying a specially crafted search request containing backtick shell meta characters.
The vulnerability has been reported in TWiki releases 2004-09-01, 2003-02-01, and 2001-12-01. Other releases may also be affected.
