CVE-2004-1203

Description:
Cyrille Barthelemy has reported a vulnerability in phpCMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Input passed to the "file" parameter in "parser.php" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.

It is also possible to disclose the full path to "parser.php" by accessing it with an invalid "file" parameter.

Successful exploitation requires that phpCMS is configured in non-stealth mode with debug mode enabled.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.2.1. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 1.2.1pl1.
