Description:
Tan Chew Keong has reported some vulnerabilities in CMailServer, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system, and conduct SQL injection and script insertion attacks.

1) A boundary error in CMailServer's ActiveX component "CMailCOM.dll" can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by supplying an overly long filename in the "urlOfAttach" parameter of "download.asp".

2) Input passed to the "indexOfMail" parameter in "fdelmail.asp" and "addressc.asp" is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

3) Input passed to "setpersoninfo.asp" is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in an administrator's browser session in context of an affected site, when the malicious personal profile is viewed with "admin.asp".

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 5.2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 5.2.1.
