Description:
Ziv Kamir has discovered a security issue in WinFTP Server, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain knowledge of sensitive information.

The problem is that user credentials are stored in clear text in the "data\user.wfd" file, which is readable by any local user on the system.

The problem has been confirmed in version 1.6.8. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Grant only trusted users access to affected systems.
