Description: Ariel Berkman has reported a vulnerability in xine-lib, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "open_aiff_file()" function in "demux_aiff.c". This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted .avi file in an application linked against the vulnerable library.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability affects the following versions:
* All 1-alpha releases
* All 1-beta releases
* All 1-rc releases
