Description: A vulnerability has been reported in libbsb, allowing malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "bsb_open_header()" function, which is used when using "bsb2ppm" to convert bsb files into ppm format. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via a specially crafted bsb file.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code, but requires that a user is tricked into converting a malicious bsb file.
The vulnerability has been reported in libbsb version 0.0.6. Prior versions may also be affected.
