Description:
Ariel Berkman has reported a vulnerability in DXFscope, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "dxfin()" function when parsing DXF (Data Exchange File) files. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by tricking a user into viewing a specially crafted DXF drawing.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Don't view untrusted DXF files.

Use another product.
