Description: Ariel Berkman has reported a vulnerability in filter, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "save_embedded_address()" function. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by sending a specially crafted e-mail, which is passed to the filter program.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.6.1. Prior versions may also be affected.
