Description: A vulnerability has been reported in pgn2web, allowing malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "process_moves()" function, which is used when converting pgn files into html format. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via a specially crafted pgn document.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code, but requires that a user is tricked into converting a malicious pgn document.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.3. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 0.4.
Provided and/or discovered by: Tom Palarz and Kris Kubicki
