Description: A vulnerability has been reported in Netscape Directory Server for HP-UX, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the handling of LDAP requests and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via a specially crafted, invalid LDAP request.
Successful exploitation requires that LDAP is used and may crash the LDAP service or allow execution of arbitrary code.
