Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in the Invision Community Blog module for Invision Power Board, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "eid" parameter in "index.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

2) Input passed to the "eid" parameter in "index.php" when previewing comments to blog entries isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation reportedly allows retrieval of any user's password hash.

Vulnerability #2 is reported in version 1.2.4. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
The vendor has issued a patch and an updated version 1.2.4.
