Description:
A vulnerability have been reported in Squid, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of NTLM type 3 messages in the NTLM "fakeauth_auth" helper in "fakeauth_auth.c". This can be exploited to cause a vulnerable component to crash by sending a specially crafted message.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.5. Other versions may also be affected.
