Description: Luigi Auriemma has reported a vulnerability in W32Dasm, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing of imported and exported functions. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by tricking a user into disassembling a specially crafted executable containing overly long function names (over 256 bytes).
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code when a malicious executable is opened.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 8.93 and prior. Other versions may also be affected.
